The personal trainers Zen Koan:

“What surprised me most about humanity is he sacrifices his health in order to make money.  Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

― James J. Lachard (Jim Brown), wrongly attributed to the Dalai Lama

About Me

I have been a touring professional musician, a restaurateur, and a global citizen. I have gazed in wonder at the milky while crossing the gulf of mexico by sailboat.  I have gasped for air while ascending a mountain peak nestled high in the Andes.  I have performed for thousands in a mist filled forest at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. My experiences have taught me that no one viewpoint can accurately address the needs of the individual but that a wholistic assesment of the body, mind, and psyche is paramount to effecting change through personal training.  The body is the physical key with which exercise can open the doors to transformation.  There is no magic or panacea, only dedication and perseverance. As a wise man once asked me, "what is the best exercise you can do?".  I paused, thought, and answered, "squats, no walk!".  He smiled, "the one you will do."  It is my job to help you find that exercise and in turn help you achieve that you will, desire and/or require.
