Special Awards/Recognition

My first competition was the Body for Life challenge in 2000.  After a twelve week program I submitted my picture and essay and was a top 2000 finisher out of more that 14,000 entries.  In 2003 I began competing in The Women's Tri-Fitness competition and was challenged just to complete the entire contest from standing on stage in my bikini and heels to climbing a 15 ft cargo net and doing 50 box jumps.  I was able to do all of these things and even though I didn't place in anything I felt extremely accomplished. After that I was hooked and determined to do better next time.  I have done seven more contests since then and continue to place in the top 20.  I'm in better shape at 40 then I ever have been in my life.

About Me

I am a married mother of two teenagers (is that possible?) We are a very active family and enjoy participating in and watching many different sports and activities. We spend a lot of time at the Lake of the Ozarks doing all kinds of water sports.  We also enjoy snow skiing and will have a home in the mountains when we win the lottery :) I enjoy reading and sewing and other craft type projects when I have time.   I also enjoy being an active member of the community.  I serve on the board of a local non-profit organization and have been involved with The Festival of Trees for many years.   I was the last person I saw becoming a personal trainer, but thank goodness I did.  It has enhanced my life in so many ways. Physically I'm in the best shape I've ever been in or thought I could be in, and I get great satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals.  I know it's a cliche, but if I can adopt this lifestyle anyone can.  It's never too late to start and always beneficial.  I would love to help you begin or restart your active lifestyle.
